What we believe

We believe the Bible is the inspired, authoritative Word of God.

We believe there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

We believe in the deity of Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His death on the cross, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal imminent return.

We believe that because of sin all men are separated from God.

We believe people receive forgiveness of sins and eternal life through a relationship with Jesus established by faith alone.

our history

Our journey begins in the early 1970’s when Faith Baptist Church was planted in the home of George & Minnie Rabold. Later in the decade, a church and fellowship hall were built on the corner of Rt. 228 and Pittsburgh St. in Mars, PA where the church worshiped and served for 30 plus years. Our name was changed to Christian Community Church in 2002 to better communicate who we are as a church. Three pastors have served this body during these four decades including our founding pastor Bob Brim, followed by Jim Heckman, and our current pastor, Dan Turney. In 2009, the church began its exploration into a relocation program called “Following God’s Lead” which has led us to our current location on the Red Belt in Richland Township.

In November of 2013 we purchased the property in Richland Township that we had been renting up until that point. We are in the process of developing the building and grounds to better suit God’s plan for our future. We resolve to stand ready to obey God’s every call to us as a body as we continue to “Follow God’s Lead.”
